Vessel is a dimensional distressed salvaged tin pendant which explores the use of form, texture and meaning. Vessels are containers or repositories of both the tangible and intangible. Of hope and promise, and of fear. Of new life and of endings. Erupting from the cocon are rainbow aura quartz points
Purposefully rustic and raw.
19 1/2 inches (49 1/2 cm). Closing with a handmade oxidized copper toggle at the front
The focal is around 4 1/2 inches (11 1/2 cm) from the top of the bale to the bottom of the vessel
The cocoon is formed from salvaged tin, layered and sculpted with lead free silver bearing solder.
The chain is cast steel.
Surfaces are sealed with wax polish. An occasional coat of a natural wax or oil polish will keep things looking as they are now.

I find items shipped from Australia to most places in the world arrive within Australia Post's designated shipping time of 6-10 days. It can, occasionally, take longer. I ship with tracking as standard so you can keep an eye on your purchase as it wings its way to you.
Domestic items are shipped via Australia Post and should reach you in 2-5 days.
All my items are securely packaged and wrapped in new and clean recycled packaging.
I try to keep my environmental footprint as light as possible so I use ephemera (vintage sewing pattern tissue, old unwanted books and Atlases) in my wrapping.
Of course. What's the point of jewelry you aren't going to wear! Shopping online is convenient, but sometimes you need to see a thing up-close and and in-person to know how you really feel about it. If you'd like to return your item, just let me know within 14 days of delivery (please note: purchasers are responsible for return postage costs)
My work is organic, purposefully rustic and raw. My pieces take a journey with me as I create them. I use found and salvaged objects wherever possible as these tell a story and reflect my commitment to sustainability. My aesthetic celebrates the signposts - surface stitches, tool marks, texture and natural patina - that tell the story of that pieces journey with me.
When you purchase one of my pieces you are purchasing something that is one-of-a-kind, completely unique and which has taken many hours to create.
Pricing is one of the hardest things for an artist. I try to keep my prices accessible, whilst reflecting the time and materials that have gone into creating.
My process is very organic and personal so, the short answer is no, I don't generally take custom orders. However, please feel free to reach out to me if you have something in mind. I've worked with several of my regular customers to create a piece that uses a material or object that holds a special meaning for them.
