A salvaged battered kuchi element - set with faux blue turquoise; swinging beneath this is a smoky quartz crystal point in a rustic tin cap. A gypsy boho combo.
Length: 18 1/2 inches (47 cm)
The quartz and kuchi focal is around 4 inches (10 cm) from top to bottom
Closing with a hook at the front.
Care:
Metal surfaces and cast steel chain are sealed with a wax polish but will continue to patina or oxidize over time. Clean with a soft damp cloth. An occasional coat of wax polish or oil will preserve the patina.
My work is purposefully rustic and raw. I use salvaged and repurposed elements as much as possible. Rather than sterling or fine silver I prefer to use base metals (tin, copper and brass) which I manipulate and play with to add texture and dimension. Far from a compromise, I love the look of these materials and using them in my work allows me to create bold pieces which take no prisoners; big stones and chunky chains. Jewelry for the free of spirit and wild at heart.

I find items shipped from Australia to most places in the world arrive within Australia Post's designated shipping time of 6-10 days. It can, occasionally, take longer. I ship with tracking as standard so you can keep an eye on your purchase as it wings its way to you.
Domestic items are shipped via Australia Post and should reach you in 2-5 days.
All my items are securely packaged and wrapped in new and clean recycled packaging.
I try to keep my environmental footprint as light as possible so I use ephemera (vintage sewing pattern tissue, old unwanted books and Atlases) in my wrapping.
Of course. What's the point of jewelry you aren't going to wear! Shopping online is convenient, but sometimes you need to see a thing up-close and and in-person to know how you really feel about it. My work is organic, purposefully rustic and raw. My pieces take a journey with me as I create them. I use found and salvaged objects wherever possible as these tell a story and reflect my commitment to sustainability. My aesthetic celebrates the signposts - surface stitches, tool marks, texture and natural patina - that tell the story of that pieces journey with me.
When you purchase one of my pieces you are purchasing something that is one-of-a-kind, completely unique and which has taken many hours to create.
Pricing is one of the hardest things for an artist. I try to keep my prices accessible, whilst reflecting the time and materials that have gone into creating.
My process is very organic and personal so, the short answer is no, I don't generally take custom orders. However, please feel free to reach out to me if you have something in mind. I've worked with several of my regular customers to create a piece that uses a material or object that holds a special meaning for them.
