Ear wires are tempered high-grade (grade 316L) stainless steel which is super springy and strong so will hold its shape.
PLEASE READ: all stainless steel contains some nickel. 316L has a low nickel levels so, along with grade 304, it is commonly used in stainless steel jewelry. However, to err on the safe side, this item is not recommended for people with a sensitivity to nickel or other metals.

Metal surfaces (other than ear wires) are sealed with a natural wax polish. Clean with a soft damp cloth. An occasional coat of wax polish or oil will preserve the patina.
My work is purposefully rustic and raw. I use salvaged and repurposed elements as much as possible. Rather than sterling or fine silver I prefer to use base metals (tin, copper and brass) which I manipulate and play with to add texture and dimension. Far from a compromise, I love the look of these materials and using them in my work allows me to create bold pieces which take no prisoners; big stones and chunky chains. Jewelry for the free of spirit and wild at heart.

My work is organic, purposefully rustic and raw. My pieces take a journey with me as I create them. I use found and salvaged objects wherever possible as these tell a story and reflect my commitment to sustainability. My aesthetic celebrates the signposts - surface stitches, tool marks, texture and natural patina - that tell the story of that pieces journey with me.
When you purchase one of my pieces you are purchasing something that is one-of-a-kind, completely unique and which has taken many hours to create.
Pricing is one of the hardest things for an artist. I try to keep my prices accessible, whilst reflecting the time and materials that have gone into creating.
My process is very organic and personal so, the short answer is no, I don't generally take custom orders. However, please feel free to reach out to me if you have something in mind. I've worked with several of my regular customers to create a piece that uses a material or object that holds a special meaning for them.
