All Seeing Eye and Crescent Moon Necklace | sand cast lead free pewter, third eye

Sorry, this item has sold.

A lunar textured crescent moon (in the shape of a circle) and All Seeing Eye amulet necklace.

My charms and amulets are hand-cast in sand from lead free pewter. The sand mold can only be used one-time and, as I also add texture to the sand, each charm that emerges is unique. The process I use (which involves adding elements to the mold to create its unique texture) means that my charms are one-sided and are purposefully rustic (you can see a photo of the back side of the focal in the listing photos). I cast my pieces many many times until I get exactly the look I am after.

The eye is suspended from the focal's bale so will not hang centrally and will move around within it's lunar enclosure.

Length: Around 15 1/2 inches (39 1/2 cm) end to end. I can put a longer chain on this (let me know in the 'notes to seller' or message me)
Crescent Moon: Around 2 1/4 inches (4 1/2 cm) from top to bottom.

The chain is heavy gauge jewelry grade stainless steel.

Closing with a handmade tinned copper hook at the front.

The All Seeing Eye or Eye of Providence is often associated with Freemasonry as well as the occult, although it is originally a Christian symbol. It represents the eye of God watching over us. My All Seeing Eye is less traditional and sits above the moon which is a female symbol.

Care:
Metal surfaces are sealed with a natural wax polish to preserve the oxidized (black) patina. Clean with a soft damp cloth. An occasional coat of wax polish or oil will preserve the patina.

My work is purposefully rustic and raw. I use salvaged and repurposed elements as much as possible. Rather than sterling or fine silver I prefer to use base metals (tin, copper, pewter and brass) which I manipulate and play with to add texture and dimension. Far from a compromise, I love the look of these materials and using them in my work allows me to create bold unique pieces; beautifully broken jewelry for the free of spirit and wild at heart.

Can I return my purchase for a refund?

What's your aesthetic and your pricing philsophy?

My work is purposefully raw. I use natural stones, crystals and salvaged materials, as these hold more meaning than shiny new things. My aesthetic celebrates the signposts; stitches, tool marks, natural texture and patina - these tell the story of a pieces' journey with me. I love that one of my customers described my work as 'beautifully broken' because there is great beauty in what some consider to be imperfection.

Pricing is one of the hardest things for an artist. I try to keep my prices accessible, whilst reflecting the time and materials that have gone into creating. When you purchase one of my pieces you are getting something that is unique and which has taken many hours to create.

    Custom and personalized orders

My process is very organic and personal so, the short answer is no, I don't generally take custom orders. However, please feel free to reach out to me if you have something in mind. I've worked with several of my regular customers to create a piece that uses a material or object that holds a special meaning for them.

Can I reserve an item? Do you offer lay-away?

I am happy to reserve items for up to seven days for returning customers (ie. people who have purchased from me before), but please note that by reserving an item you are committing to purchase that item.

I can also set up layaway (payment via instalments) for new customers. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this option.
